--------------------------------------PREMISE------------------------------------

You play as a dinosaur (a diplodocus to be exact), sent to clear the snailien (snail-alien) infestation from the moon. You were given a small spaceship equipped with a GrowGun. Shoot with this gun at enemy snailiens to enlarge their shell. Then, using your abnormally long neck, stretch and curve your way through the shell's many obstacles to get to the snail's soul (a golden slug) and bite it. Avoid many obstacles such as breakable boxes, slug doors and slug buttons and spikes. Clear 6 waves and you win! GOOD LUCK! LET'S GOOOO :]

--------------------------INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN GAME----------------------

- WASD or ARROW KEYS to move

- Aim the GrowGun with your MOUSE and LEFT CLICK to shoot

- Press the SPACE KEY to enter head mode

- LEFT CLICK while in head mode to bite stuff (snail core, breakable blocks, buttons)

- Press the SPACE KEY to leave head mode and go back to your spaceship

-----------------------------------------TIPS----------------------------------------

- Shoot enlarged snail shells to make them spin and recoil. This is useful if the entrance to shell is blocked , and is also how you get rid of rotation blocks

-Snailiens come from the gust of wind in the middle of the moon rock and from the sides of the moon rock (so they come from the bottom middle, bottom left and bottom right)

- Make use of the "Snails left" counter at the top of the screen

- FUN FACT: you can bite the small snails to give em recoil :D

LOVE the art! What amazing talent!

This is a really cool concept! I can see you were starting to think about systems that would require you to work both inside and outside the shell -- as is, there isn't a whole lot to do outside the shell aside from make readjustments if the opening is against a wall and the one spin block.

The music and scenario made me feel like there was a sense of urgency, but the gameplay was about slow, fine control. I think what would make this mechanic REALLY sing would be if there were some external tasks that required attention -- you need to defend or maintain something outside your shell, then go spelunking inside a shell, then race back to repair/refortify whatever fell to pieces while you were gone.

The neck mechanics feel so good, especially the retraction sequence. The moments waiting for it to complete are phenomenal, and could be a great source of tension if there were something you were rushing to get to ASAP. Really driving the feeling of being "overextended" if you'll pardon the pun.

This is a really creative take on the theme, with a lot of juice and a core mechanic that just feels really fun to use! Very very nice work!

thanks you so much! I agree with everything you said, especially the part about doing tasks outside the shell. Right now the only mechanic that requires going outside the shell is the rotator block, and we didn’t want to add more cuz of scop limitation and maintaining a fast pacing. Would have loved a sense of urgency as well, but since this is a jam game I made things easy :)

Thanks for all the feedback! really appreciate it! and i'm so glad you liked the art!
