Restricted by Assistant
Restricted By Assistant is a chaotic desktop adventure where you meet an Assistant that protects your computer. Maybe sometimes a little too much. It‘s a solo dev game made in Godot 4 made by a 16yo (me) and is my 21st game jam entry. It was made in 9 days for the Inbound Shovel Jam. Thanks for hosting Shovel!
Gameplay: Use different applications in tandem with each other, complete minigames and interact with the Assistant to make progress!
(I worked really hard on this, so i really hope you enjoy this game!)

All assets used are either made by RKI3000 or are under the CC0 license.

So cute and funny! The writing is great and the puzzles are fun. I did have some trouble getting the steak to clip to the furnace and I wish the assistant had let me do more of the solving before giving me hints, but overall a fantastic little game!
Also, if you're wanting to add to the game at all it would be fun to add more Easter eggs to the search results! I tried a bunch of combinations to see if I'd get anything but only found a few pages that were non-essential to the story. That would be a fun little way to add some detail and reward exploration

Isn't this a gem! Wow. I love this so much, and the art is great! I just wish there was a way to make dialogue even quicker... It's eating up my playtime haha!
Thank you! And there is! Go in the settings and set dialogue to "instant"
Ohh, I thought the settings were part of the gameplay, and we'd have to go and change stuff on that screen... Haha, I should have known better, thanks for the help :)

This is super cool! I love the sheer number of little details and additions that give it a unique flavor. The extra messages from mom, the poop app, and the entertaining way the assistant moves around are bonkers things to include in a 9 day game jam, but i guess you just got it like that
I initially tried to play it on my phone, just out of curiosity if it would work. Typing in your name requires a keyboard, but everything else can be done with mouse, so maybe you can just add a random name select button to turn it mobile friendly lol. that's not important tho

i did make the game to only work with mouse (hence the many buttons in the minigames), but because of the name it‘s not completely mobile friendly. Making it so that you can still start without a name is a good idea though, I‘ll implement it after the jam :)
